Among the most popular routes is the W Trek, which takes you to the Grey Glacier, French Valley and the legendary towers in three to five days.
The Magellanic penguins live in the south of Patagonia. The animals got their name because they are mainly native to the coasts of the "Terra Magellanica". The Argentinean animal reserve Punta Tombo is the scene of a special event every summer. Thousands of Magellanic penguins come ashore to breed and moult.
Another place of interest on a trip to Patagonia is Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981. Visitors to the national park can expect impressive glaciers and a picturesque lake landscape.
