1. Puerto Iguazu
Our Best of Argentina Trip starts in Iguazu, where you’ll spend three nights in a lodge. As part of your tour package, you’ll embark on a full-day excursion with a private, English-speaking guide to the Argentinian side of the waterfalls, which are the largest in the world. As well as the spectacular waterfall, expect to see jaguars, eagles, and birdlife on your adventure. Before you leave, you’ll also enjoy a half-day excursion to the Brazilian side of the waterfalls. 2. El Calafate
After starting in the north of Argentina, you’ll head south to Patagonian town of El Calafate, where you’ll spend three nights in a hotel. Here, you’re just a stone’s throw away from Los Glaciares National Park. On a special full-day excursion with your private English-speaking guide, you’ll get an up-close view of the spectacular Perito Moreno. During your stay, you’ll also enjoy a chartered boat trip over the lake to see other dramatic glaciers such as Upsala, Spegazzini and Onelli. 3. Bariloche
Next, you’ll travel to Bariloche, another important Patagonian town surrounded by the Andes mountains and the impressive Nahuel Hupai glacial lake. You’ll go on a full-day hike and kayak excursion to enjoy the extraordinary landscapes that the area has to offer, accompanied by your private guide. Before you leave this region, you’ll also enjoy a full-day excursion to San Martin de los Andes, another Patagonian town which is the gateway to Lanín National Park. Here, you’ll find an impressive array of wildlife, including pumas and guanacos, with the backdrop of the Lanín Volcano.
4. Buenos Aires
Your Best of Argentina Trip ends on a high in the country’s spectacular capital city, Buenos Aires, where you’ll spend three nights. You’ll enjoy two city tours as part of your vacation package, as well as a half-day excursion to Tigre Delta, Buenos Aires’ waterside getaway. While in the city, you’ll stroll through the colorful La Boca barrio, and continue on to the elegant neighborhood of Palermo, with its grand parks and mansions. Have lunch and a glass of wine in one of the many fantastic eateries in Recoleta.
