Underwater museum with 400 sculptures in Cancun
Observation tower with 360-degree view
A popular attraction that combines culture and water sports is the Underwater Museum Museo Subacuátio de Arte in Cancun. Here, visitors can snorkel or dive through the water in artist Jason de Caires Taylor's sculpture park while admiring the art. A whopping 400 figures stand here on the ocean floor. So get in your gear and hit the water! You should not miss this unique museum visit.
The Nichupté Lagoon is one of Cancun's main attractions. In the middle of the city is a natural ecosystem. It consists of lagoons and mangroves and is over three thousand hectares in size. Visitors can roam around and take long walks in a unique one-of-a-kind jungle landscape and get to know this wonderful nature. On the water, kayaks, glass-bottom boats or motorboats take you through the mangrove forest. This way you can experience the water landscape in a special way and above all very close. You can watch fish and birds and even spot crocodiles or leopards from time to time.
There is certainly no shortage of dream beaches in Cancun. It's not easy to decide which one to go to. Playa Delfines is considered one of the most beautiful beaches, and above all, one that is open to the public. The quiet beach with soft, white sand is extensive. Thus, finding a quiet place is not a problem, as people spread out easily. Here you can swim, sunbathe or play with the kids in the shallow water. Without hotels and with turquoise water, Playa Delfines is definitely a picture book beach.
If you want to see Cancun from above, you should pay a visit to the Torre Escenica observation tower. To do this, you first go up in a rotating cabin to a height of 262 feet. Up here, a 360-degree view awaits you, which is something to be proud of. From here you can look out over the Nichupté lagoon, the beaches of the Zona Hotelera and, of course, the turquoise sea. At night, the view is no less spectacular: then the thousand lights of the hotels appear. Pure romance! It is best to use the combination ticket for day and night to be able to admire both sights.
Just a stone's throw from Cancun is the beautiful island of Isla Mujeres. This is where island dreams come true! Isla Mujeres is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in all of Mexico, most notably the gorgeous Playa Norte beach. Isla Mujeres is a great destination for day trips, as the speedboats travel regularly from Cancun to the island and take just 15 minutes for the crossing. But the small island is also a great destination for longer stays. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the sweet island life. One likes to stay longer. Less
