Where to Go on a Cinque Terre Tour

    Monterosso al Mare

With about 1700 inhabitants, Monterosso al Mare is the largest of the five fishing villages of the Cinque Terre. Here you will find most of the hotels, restaurants, shops and also the largest sandy beach. Monterosso consists of an old core and a new part. Worth seeing are the church S. Giovanni Battista from the 13th / 14th century and the Covento die Cappuccini.

    Vernazza

Vernazza is considered by many to be the most beautiful of the five villages with its old castle towers, the piazza on the water and the rocks. If you want to see it for yourself, you can take the cliff walk from Monterosso and admire the best views. The narrow streets of the village are lined with colourful little houses, cafés and restaurants. The harbour is also worth a visit - best enjoyed with a glass of wine!

    Manarola

Close together, under and over - the houses in Manarola were squeezed into every little gap. The picture of the special village structure is absolutely worth seeing. If you want a view of the sea, visit the lookout point Punta Bonfiglia. This is only a short hike above the village centre and enchants with a magnificent panoramic view.

    Riomaggiore

Warm red and orange tones characterise the image of Riomaggiore. At sunset, the village almost seems to glow. On Via Colombo there are numerous shops and cafés that invite you to stroll and stop for a bite to eat. Also famous are the bell towers and the Via dell'Amore, the famous coastal path between Riomaggiore and Manarola.

    Corniglia

Corniglia is special. It is the only one of the Cinque Terre villages that is not directly on the sea, but elevated on a rock. From here you definitely have the best view over the coast. But you have to earn it: By climbing stairs!

    Via dell'Amore Hiking Trail

In addition to the villages, the Via dell'Amore hiking trail is a highlight of the region. As a rocky path, it connects the villages of Riomaggiore and Manarola in a rewarding hike. Great views guaranteed! Less
