Culture fans can explore churches, monasteries and chapels and nature lovers experience their green wonder in the butterfly valley. The traditional villages exude a special charm. At the latest at the sight of the whitewashed, with flowers decorated, little houses, you feel like in the advertising brochure for Greece. Look forward to the idyllic town of Parikia, situated on a bay, the picturesque Naoussa and many dream beaches like in Krios or Livadia.

What to See During Your Paros Tour?

The island of Paros, which belongs to the Cyclades, stands for ancient monasteries, idyllic villages and countless white beaches. The Greek island is one of the largest islands of the Cyclades and lies about halfway between Santorini and Athens. Typical for Paros are the many offshore, uninhabited rocky islands that lie picturesquely off the coast. If you dream of white houses adorned with lush flowers and secluded bays and beaches, Paros is the place for you. The fertile soil allows olives to flourish, old temples take you back to times long past and the windmill at the port of Parikia is the landmark visible from afar and a popular photo motif. Our experts provide you with the best tips for your trip!

Where to Go on Your Paros Vacation?

    Parikia

The capital of the island with its large harbour is the hub of Paros Island. A walk along the promenade is a must! Here the visitors arrive and can get their first taste of island air. Strolling through the old town, you'll pass cafes and restaurants along cobbled streets. It is also worth going into some of the many jewellery shops. The historical centre is the rock Kastro, on which once stood a temple. A Venetian fortress was built on its remains. The 4th century church of Panagia Ekatontapyliani is one of the most important Byzantine monuments in the country. The church of Katapiliani is considered one of the most beautiful churches in Greece. In the ancient cemetery of the town there are tombs dating back to 700 BC.

    Naoussa

The town with the old fishing harbour is a real island pearl. With its typical Cycladic architecture, the town has so far been able to preserve its original charm. In the surrounding area there are some beautiful beaches that invite you to do water sports or just relax.

    Lefkes

The most beautiful place on the island is probably Lefkes. The village was built in the middle of a natural amphitheatre on the slopes of Mount Agios Pantes. Once the capital of the island, Lefkes is now a cosy little oasis. Here you can watch women doing traditional weaving and stroll through small alleys. Simply beautiful!

    Kolymbithres Beach

Kolymbithres Beach is famous for its huge rocks. Thus, it does not have to hide from any dream beach in the Seychelles. Many small bays divide the beach into sections. Simply enchanting and ideal for swimming.

    Santa Maria Beach

Santa Maria Beach is the top address for windsurfers. Due to a windbreak between Paros and Naxos, the conditions here are perfect for windsurfing. But the excursion is also worthwhile for non-sportsmen: the dunes and salt lakes make the beach a beauty.

    Pounda Beach

Pounda Beach is the party and event beach. Here you can really find everything! Music, swimming pool, beach bar and even bungee jumping. There is no peace and quiet here, but plenty of fun and action. Less
