1. Djemaa el Fna

Also known as the Place of the Jugglers, the Djemaa el-Fna awaits you as the vibrant center of the legendary city of Marrakech. Just ask one of the locals for "La Place" and they will be happy to explain the way. When the sun goes down, a visit is highly recommended. Then you can look forward to acrobats, storytellers, snake charmers, and musicians.

2. Majorelle Gardens

In the middle of lively Marrakech, the Jardin Majorelle is a small, enchanting paradise. The garden, which was laid out in 1923 by the French painter Jacques Majorelle and later restored by Yves Saint Laurent, captivates with its striking colors. So don't forget your camera when you visit.

3. Hassan II Mosque

You can hardly miss this sight in Casablanca, because the minaret of Hassan-II Mosque rises a full 650 feet into the air. The sight will give you the feeling that you have landed in a fairy tale from 1001 nights. Unlike all other mosques in Morocco, you can admire the interior of the mosque during a guided tour.

4. Koutoubia Mosque

The Koutoubia Mosque in Marrakech is the city's landmark and with its 250 feet high minaret can be seen from almost everywhere. By the way, the ramps leading up the tower are so wide that you could even ride up on a horse. You can reach the religious building after a short walk from Djemaa el Fna. Unfortunately, non-Muslims are not allowed to enter.

5. Bahia Palace

In the southern medina of Marrakech, you will find the Bahia Palace, a charming combination of Andalusian and Moorish architecture. During a tour, you will get a feeling for the luxury in which the viziers of Morocco once lived. Plan at least an hour and a half for your visit, as the palace is vast in size. Less
